HOSTEL FACILITIES:

A modern 43 bed hostel

The Centre contains a fully equipped kitchen, with a fridge, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, water boiler, seven burner cooker, grill and double oven, 2x microwaves, 2x toasters, along with a larder section with plenty of cupboard space & shelving. Eating equipment, cooking pans etc. are well provided, but groups may wish to bring their own cooking utensils, knives etc., to their own choice. Fold away tables can convert the Hall into a dining area.

All rooms are centrally heated, hot water being provided by a high capacity gas boiler. There are male & female toilets, washing and shower facilities. All bunks have foam mattresses with fire retardant covers.

Safety: The Centre is well provided with fire extinguishers and smoke detectors/fire alarm which have been installed following the advice of local fire authorities and are subject to routine testing and inspection. Copies of the H&S policy and latest Safety Risk Assessments are available in the Visitors Information File.

Disabled Visitors: Consideration has been given to accommodating disabled visitors, particularly wheelchair users. It is a single storey building with ramped access and all doors are easily negotiable and light switches at a convenient height. There is a 'wet-room' with disabled friendly washbasin, toilet and shower with shower seat. There is a separate bedroom designed for use by a disabled youngster and his/her carer.

Centre Rules: A Duty Warden is on call for your stay - but not necessarily on site - we like you to feel ‘free’ to enjoy your stay. The rules of the centre are simply - leave the centre as you would wish to find it.

Please be aware that we do have some close neighbours and we would be grateful if noise could be kept to an absolute minimum between 23:00 and 07:00 hours during your stay.

Rubbish: Bins for segregating rubbish are provided. If possible take your rubbish away or place it in the segregated bins at the bottom of the drive.
