The Wharfedale Scout District

What is Scouts about?

Scouts is where young people make new friends, have amazing adventures, and learn new skills.

Scouting is inclusive and is open to all young people aged 6 to 25 of every faith and background. There are also plenty of opportunities for adults to volunteer as Leaders, Assistants or Administrators.

A Scout Group is a charity in itself and as well as the leaders who run the sections, it requires a Trustee Board who are the charitable trustees. The Exec supports the Group by handling finance and the provision of premises.
